Canine Dog Citizen Program

Class Goals:

Only positive reinforcement techniques will be used towards achieving

Canine Good Citizenship goals.  We will focus on building the Bond between

your dog and the owner through training Both your dog and owner.

Achievements will include:

*  Accepting a Friendly Stranger

*  Sitting Politely for Petting

*  Accepting being examined and groomed

*  Walking on Loose Leash

*  Walking through a Crowd

*  Sit, Down and Stay in Place

*  Come when Called

*  Reaction to Another Dog

*  Reaction to Distractions

*  Supervised Separation

Prerequisite:

*  All Dogs must have Rabies and DHPP vaccinations.  Vaccinations must be available.

*  Dogs must be at least 3 months of age at the start 

*  Dogs must be behaviorally healthy and not aggressive towards other dogs.

Tuition:  $90.00 an hour or $55 for 30 minutes

class size:  private instruction

Once a week for an average of 6 weeks - 1st meeting to evaluate dog and owner team - last week AKC evaluation.

Basic Manners Private Lessons: 

Sit, down, stay, come when called, walk on a loose leash, greet without jumping up.
One hour private lessons that you attend with your dog.

Requirements:

*  Dog should be behaviorally healthy. No fear or aggression issues allowed in Basic Manners Private Lessons. 

*  Dogs must be at least 3 months of age.  No upper age limits.

*  All dogs must have Rabies and DHPP vaccinations or titers.   Proof of vaccinations or titers must be available.  Dogs without proof of vaccinations will not be able to participate.

*  Pre-registration is required.
